The Divine Comedy

In 2014, Insectotròpics proposed the organisation of three creative exchange experiences which had the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri as their driving force.

These journeys divided into Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise, with inscriptions open to participation from other artists from any discipline: video- creation, cinema, painting, sculpture, music, performing arts, theatre, dance, scenography, photography, lighting, writing, and more.

The idea of the project was a shared field of experimentation open to the public, one which strengthened the basic principles of the company: creative interdisciplinary collaboration.

The idea of the journeys was to bring multiple creatives together in one space, surrounded by the audience, working freely both individually and collectively, developing multi sensory approaches in between performance, work in progress, action theatre or live cinema, with either a passive or active audience ready to interact with any of the mediums.
